Cricket Auction FAQs — Registration, Bidding & Payments

Question 1

What details do I need to register as a player?

Accepted Answer

Registration asks for your full name, mobile number, email, state, district, playing role, and a passport-size profile photo. Nick name, jersey name and number, t-shirt and lower size, batting and bowling style, and Cricheroes profile URL are optional but improve how team owners see you during bidding. Question 2

How do I create my password?

Accepted Answer

After verifying your mobile or email with a one-time code, you can set a password in the 'Generate Password' screen. Once set, you can log in with either the password or the OTP. If you've forgotten your password, use the Forgot Password link to reset it.

Question 3

Can I update my profile after registering?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Open the Profile section from your dashboard and click Edit. Any change to a verified profile triggers an approval request — you'll be notified before it goes live.

Question 4

Who can see my email and phone number?

Accepted Answer

Only tournament organizers and platform admins can see your contact details. Other players cannot view your email or mobile number, even when they search for you by name. Read our privacy policy for details.

Question 5

How do other people find my player profile?

Accepted Answer

Team owners and organizers search players by name, mobile number, or filter by state and district. Your profile does not appear in a public directory — a specific search is required to find you.

Question 6

How do I become a tournament organizer?

Accepted Answer

Create an auction and complete the one-time payment for that auction. You're automatically marked as the organizer for that tournament only. You can run multiple tournaments with separate organizer rights on each. See auction pricing for available plans.

Question 7

How do organizers use my contact details?

Accepted Answer

Once an organizer purchases an auction, they can view the mobile numbers of all players in the state they selected during auction setup. They use this to send trial invitations, auction links, and payment confirmations.

Question 8

Can an organizer edit my profile without my permission?

Accepted Answer

No. When an organizer updates your profile, the change is queued as an approval request. You receive a notification and must approve it before the new details replace the old ones.

Question 9

Can I create player profiles for my friends?

Accepted Answer

No. Player profiles can only be created by the player themselves, or by an organizer or admin on the player's behalf with their details. Self-registration is the recommended path.

Question 10

Can I add multiple players to an auction at once?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Organizers can bulk upload players into an auction using an Excel template. The template is available on the Add Players to Auction screen, and every row is validated on upload.

Question 11

Can I download player lists and reports?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Organizers can export approved player lists, T-shirt print lists, category-wise lists, and registered-participant reports as Excel or PDF from the auction panel.

Question 12

How do I contact support?

Accepted Answer

Use the Contact Us page. For urgent issues during a live auction, use the WhatsApp support link shown in the auction panel — organizers get a faster response on live issues.

Question 13

How do I create a new auction?

Accepted Answer

From your dashboard, click Create Auction. You'll configure the auction name, date, base bid, bid increment, max players per team, and payment details. You can also copy settings from any previous auction to save time. Read our step-by-step user guide to get started.

Question 14

Can I run an auction without paying anything?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your first auction is free with up to 2 teams and unlimited player slots. No card is required. Trial Mode, which is different — it's for running multi-round player trials before an auction — is currently free as an add-on with every plan. See pricing details for both.

Question 15

How many free auctions do I get?

Accepted Answer

One free auction per account, limited to 2 teams. It supports unlimited players and every core feature — live panel, purse tracking, and WhatsApp notifications — with no payment needed.

Question 16

Can I add more than 2 teams in my free auction?

Accepted Answer

No. The free tier is limited to 2 teams. To run more teams, upgrade to a paid plan. You pay only the difference if you upgrade the same auction.

Question 17

How many players can I add to an auction?

Accepted Answer

Unlimited. Player pool size is not capped on any plan. Only per-team limits apply — you can set max players per team between 2 and 30 during auction creation.

Question 18

Can I share my auction with players and owners?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every auction has two unique links — a Player Join link and an Owner Join link. Share them on WhatsApp or social media. You can also resend the join link from the auction detail page.

Question 19

Can I delete an auction after it goes live?

Accepted Answer

No. Once an auction reaches Live mode, it becomes a permanent record with bidding history, purse transactions, and payment proofs. Trial auctions before Live can be reset for a fresh start.

Question 20

Where can I see pricing for different team counts?

Accepted Answer

The Pricing page lists plans by team count — from 2 teams up to 30 teams — plus every add-on and its status. All add-ons are currently free during our launch period.

Question 21

How do players join my auction?

Accepted Answer

Players either request to join via the auction link, or you add them manually from the player pool. Every join request requires your approval. Once approved, the player appears in the auction participant list. Learn more in our cricket auction software overview.

Question 22

Can I re-auction players who went unsold?

Accepted Answer

Yes. After the first auction round, use the Reauction of Unsold feature to bring unsold players back into the pool for a second round. Their base bid and category remain unchanged. This is part of our cricket auction software .

Question 23

Do I need to re-enter all settings for a new auction?

Accepted Answer

No. When creating a new auction, choose Copy Auction from a previous tournament. Teams, categories, base bids, bid increments, and player assignments are all carried over — you only change what's different.

Question 24

How do I assign team owners before the auction?

Accepted Answer

Open the Teams section, select a team, and click Assign Owner. The player you pick gets a notification and accepts the role from their dashboard. Owners can then create wishlists, view player stats, and bid on your behalf.

Question 25

Can a team have multiple owners?

Accepted Answer

Each team has one primary Owner. You can add multiple Co-Owners to the same team, and all of them can bid, view the purse, and manage the squad. Only the primary Owner is the account holder of record.

Question 26

Can owners create a wishlist before the auction?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Owners can shortlist players from the auction pool, save them to their team's wishlist, and view each player's base bid, Cricheroes stats, and description before the auction begins.

Question 27

Who can give player feedback after the auction?

Accepted Answer

The team owner who purchased the player and the auction organizer can submit feedback. It's meant to record performance, discipline, and availability for future auctions.

Question 28

Who can see the player feedback?

Accepted Answer

The player themselves, their team owner, all co-owners of the same team, and the auction organizer. Feedback is never shown to other teams or to players outside the auction.

Question 29

How do I find auctions to join as a player?

Accepted Answer

Enter the auction code in the Join Auction screen, or use the direct join link shared by the organizer on WhatsApp or social media. Your dashboard also lists auctions you've already joined as a player or owner. Browse online cricket auctions for more context.

Question 30

What is the payment process when I join an auction?

Accepted Answer

Open the join link, review the auction rules, and pay the registration fee using the UPI ID or QR code shown. Then upload the payment screenshot on the same screen. The organizer verifies it and approves your participation. See payment verification features for details.

Question 31

What happens if my payment fails or is rejected?

Accepted Answer

The organizer marks the payment as rejected with a reason. You'll see the reason on your join screen and can re-upload a correct screenshot. If the issue persists, contact support through the Contact Us page with the auction code.

Question 32

Can I update my cricket skills and stats later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Edit your profile anytime from the dashboard to change your playing role, batting style, bowling style, description, jersey details, or Cricheroes profile URL. Verified players go through an approval step for each update.
